Vintage 50s 60s Redmon Hassock Stool Ottoman Storage Mid Century Modern Atomic

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super fun vintage hassock / footstool / ottoman. Circa '50s / '60s. The exterior appears to be a vinyl-like material - it is soft and tufted. There is some gold material on the outside which serves as an accent to covering. The vinyl material almost has a faux wood appearance (see photos). The inside of the hassock is clean, and would be great for storing a blanket or two, or perhaps some remote controls. The interior of the lid is marked with the company name: Redmon, Peru Indiana (see photos). The original label is also still attached on the inside.

Measurements: Approx. 22.5" wide x 15" deep x 17" tall. With the top lid open, the inner compartment measures approx. 21.5" wide x 14.25" deep x 9.75" tall.

Condition: Good vintage condition. There are some crease marks in the material along the top surface of the lid (see photos). It looks like the previous owner may have had something heavier resting on top of the lid. They should come out with a little finesse - we chose to leave the item in the condition in which it was received. The underside of the lid on the interior also shows some signs of light moisture marks. Again, we didn't attempt to clean them - not sure if they'll come out or not.. being on the inside, they aren't noticeable unless you are looking for them. Aside from that, there are no rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. The gold accent piping on the exterior is in great shape with no problems to report, as well as the four wooden dowel legs. Being sold "as-is" - if you have any questions, we recommend asking them prior to purchase as all sales are final, unless an item is grossly misrepresented.
