Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a really cool vintage abstract / biomorphic chalkware table lamp. Circa '50s / '60s. The front of the lamp base has a recessed abstract / biomorphic shape done in red (see photos). Colors: Red, Gold, Black. Materials: Chalkware. The lamp has a pull chain located at the socket which is used to turn the lamp on and off. Unmarked insofar as the maker goes. It'll make a nice addition to any mid century modern home. No shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own.
Measurements: With the harp attached, the lamp stands approx. 25" to the top of the finial. The socket measures 17" in height measured from the bottom of the base. The chalkware base measures approx. 14" tall x 7.5" wide.
Condition: Good condition. There is some minor color wear towards the top corner edges of the lamp (see photos). It's nothing bad at all, but we wanted to mention it for accuracy. Also, on the back side of the lamp towards the bottom, there appears to be an x-shaped crack mark in the paint - it does not appear to go through to the chalkware. It is on the back side of the lamp, so it isn't visible unless you turn the lamp base around, and if you do, it still isn't overly noticeable. Again, being mentioned for accuracy (please see photos). Aside from that, there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The bottom of the lamp base needs a new piece of felt as the original piece is long gone. The electrical wiring and socket are free from having any problems - no frays, splits, exposed wires, etc. Before long-term use, we only strongly recommend having a licensed professional check the wiring for any problems. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition as it is. The lamp is being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we encourage you to ask them prior to purchase, and we usually can respond back to you within a short amount of time.
