Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a wild and crazy multi-directional vintage chrome table lamp that was manufactured by Wm. Tolen & Sons, Inc. Circa '60s / '70s. The lamp features six large round bulbs, and two separate on/off rotary knob switches - one switch controls the three lower bulbs and lights them all up at the same time, while the upper rotary knob does the same for the three upper bulbs. While we did not find a signature on the lamp, it still has. the original hang tag attached to one of the arms. We believe the arms can also rotate a little if you wish to change the direction of the bulbs.
Measurements: With all of the bulbs in place, the lamp measures approx. 28.75" tall x 19.5" wide. Each of the bulbs measures approx. 4.5" in diameter.
Condition: Overall, we'd say the lamp is in very good condition for its age. It does show some mild signs of wear in a few spots that are consistent with age, namely a little bit of tarnishing on a few of the chrome cups that surround the light sockets (see photos for examples). These surface imperfections aren't really noticeable unless you are looking for them, but we did want to mention them for accuracy. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and it is free from frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. All six light sockets function properly. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the fixture and wiring prior to long-term use, just to be safe. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
PLEASE NOTE: This lamp is large! The bulbs will be removed and shipped separately in a separate box from the base. The price for shipping reflects this. It might be less expensive to just purchase new bulbs on the receiving end, and it'll decrease the cost for shipping as well. The bulbs came with the lamp, and as such, they are old... so we don't know how much life they have left in them. In their current state, they all work.
