Amazing Vintage 1960s Abstract Cubist Figural Painting Mid Century Modern Wall Hanging Art Tom Hobdy

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage abstract figural / cubist oil painting done on artist board. Date: 1961. Artist: Tom Hobdy. The painting has nice texture throughout (see photos). It is signed and dated by the artist in the lower left hand corner of the painting: Hobdy, '61 (see photos). The artist's name also appears written on the verso. There is a wire hanging mechanism attached to the back side of the frame for hanging. It'll make a lovely holiday present and addition to any mid century modern interior setting.

Measurements: Including the wooden frame, it measures approx. 33.5" tall x 16.25" wide. The visible painting itself, excluding the framework, measures approx. 28" tall x 10.5" wide.

Condition: The painting itself is in very good condition with no notable problems to report - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The frame, while structurally together, does show signs of wear from age and handling.. there are minor scuffs here and there, as well as color loss towards the bottom 1/3 of the frame (see photos). While it displays well, it can simply be repainted or just left alone (see photos). Displays very well, and is ready for a new home!
