Vintage 1950s Sascha Brastoff Carousel Horse Lamp Star Steed Mid Century Modern Signed

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage Sascha Brastoff carousel horse design / "star steed" table lamp. Circa early '50s. Materials: Ceramic, Metal. Theme: Carousel Horse. The lamp is signed on the ceramic towards the lower left-hand side of the forward facing side (see photos). The rectangular ceramic portion of the base rests atop a square metal base at the very bottom. There is no shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. It'll make a great addition to any mid century modern lamp collection!

Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 22" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the metal cup that surrounds the light socket). The rectangular ceramic portion of the lamp alone measures 12.25" tall x 4.25" wide x 4.25" deep. The square metal base at the very bottom measures approx. 4.75" wide x 4.75" deep x 1.75" tall.

Condition: Overall, the lamp is in very good condition. The ceramic portion of the base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, scratches, etc. The graphics on the front side, as well as the simple gold linear graphics on the sides and back, are in great shape - no fading, etc. The metal base at the bottom shows some signs of patination / light tarnishing / discoloration that comes with age - we did not attempt to polish or clean it in any way. The electrical wiring is in good shape and appears to be original - there are no frays, splits exposed and/or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. The rotary knob at the socket is missing and needs to be replaced - a simple and inexpensive fix that any lighting store or hardware store carries. Being sold in "as-is", "as-described" condition.
