Vintage 1960s Abstract Painting Mid Century Modern Art C. Louis Steinburg OOAK
Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing, one-of-a-kind vintage abstract acrylic painting done on a hard board by late Illinois artist, C. Louis Steinburg. Circa '60s. Titled: "Passage Into Dark". The painting has subtle texture in various spots - looks like a fibrous string-like material was incorporated in areas in addition to the paint (see photos). The painting is signed by the artist in the lower right-hand corner of the canvas (see photo). Along the back of the frame, the title, date and artist's signature also appear (again, see photos). This is truly a remarkable piece of painting that will look fantastic in any mid century modern interior setting!
Measurements: Including the frame, approx. 37" tall x 31" wide.
Condition: The painting is in very good condition, and shows only faint signs of wear that are consistent with age. It displays exceptionally well. It is a little loose in the wood surround frame, so it could use some stabilization, which we'll leave up to the next owner to handle. It is being sold "as-is", and "as-described". It's ready to be enjoyed in a new home!

We will gladly "reserve" or "hold" an item, but it will require a 25% non-refundable down payment. Balance due will be spread out over installment payments, one being due two weeks after the initial down-payment, and the final payment (which will include the listed shipping expenses) will be due two weeks after that.
