Handsome Vintage 1950s 1960s Brass Wood Floor Lamp Mid Century Modern Atomic Era

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a wonderful vintage floor lamp with its original accompanying shade. Circa '50s / '60s. Materials: Brass, Wood. The shade appears to be a beige textile material with gold filaments over fiberglass. The on/off rotary knob switch is located by the socket, and it provides for three different intensity settings. The shade rests atop a glass diffuser that screws into the brass cup surrounding the light socket. We are uncertain as to the maker of the lamp - we did not detect any labels or otherwise. It's truly a great lamp that'll look fantastic in any modern interior setting!!

Measurements: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 60" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the top of the brass cup that contains the light socket is approx. 52" tall. The wooden accent piece is approx. 12" tall x 4.5" round (measured at its base). The square brass base measures approx. 9.5" wide x 9.5" deep x 1.5" tall. The shade measures approx. 9.75" tall x 19" in diameter.

Condition: Overall the lamp is in very good condition for its age - there are no dents, dings, rust, oxidation, repairs, etc. There are some small tarnish spots on the square base (see photos), as well as on the brass accent piece adjacent to the wooden accent piece. We have not attempted to clean or polish the lamp in any way. The shade is in great shape as well - there are no problems to report with it. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it is in in very good condition - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires, etc. The previous owners took really great care of this set! As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
