Vintage 1980s Scherenschnitte Paper Art Bird of Paradise Wall Hanging Signed Framed Brother Martin de Porres Cuypers

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a framed vintage scherenschnitte art wall hanging. The work was done by Brother Martin de Porres Cuypers. Circa '80s. Along the bottom edge of the paper, it is numbered (1/5), dated 1983, titled "Bird of Paradise", and is signed by the artist in pencil (see photos). The frame is constructed of wood, and is red in color. The paper cuts outs are red, orange, pink, green and purple. There is a small jagged metal hanging tab on the back side of the frame, located top center.

Measurements: Including the wooden frame, approx. 12.25" tall x 14.5" wide. The visible artwork itself, excluding the frame and matting, measures approx. 7-3/8" tall x 9-3/8" wide.

Condition: Good vintage condition. There are two small spots where it appears that paper has lifted - one on a green feather, and the other directly below the bird in the red branch area (see photos). If one were to take the frame apart, they can easily be re-adhered to the paper backing. They aren't overly detectable, but they are there. We have not attempted to remove the artwork from the frame to investigate it any further. Being sold "as-is", so if you have questions, please don't hesitate to ask them prior to bidding.
