Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a RARE vintage atomic era brass clock and sputnik light wall hanging combination fixture. Circa '50s. Judging from the metal hands, it looks like it was manufactured by Westwood Chadwick. The clock frame is brass. The hands are metal. Each of the hour markers is a light (see photos). The light component has its own on/off pull switch, while the clock itself is plug-in.
Measurements: This is a rather large clock. The span is approx. 31" wide x 31" tall. The center where the hands are is approx. 5" in diameter. The maximum depth of the clock is approx. 2.5" deep.
Condition: Overall, it is in very good condition for its age. We've tested the clock, and it appears to keep accurate time while running quietly. All of the light sockets are in working order. The brass could use a gentle polishing, but it displays nicely as it is. There is no pitting, rust, oxidation, bends, breaks, repairs, etc. The back plate on the clock body that is used to conceal the electrical wiring is missing - the previous owner made a makeshift cover. As this is on the reverse side, it doesn't appear to affect anything, and is solely being mentioned for accuracy. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described.
