Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a beautiful vintage black glass orb ball lamp. Circa '60s. It is constructed of black glass. The accents on the rest of the lamp, including the round base, are brass. We are uncertain as to the maker. There is no shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. The lamp has a a standard on/off rotary knob switch located at the socket, as well as an inline on/off switch located on the electrical cord. This lamp will make a stellar addition to any modern or Hollywood Regency interior setting.
Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 27" tall (measured from the bottom of the round brass base to the top of the light socket). The upper glass ball measures approx. 6.5" round, while the lower, larger glass ball measures approx. 9.5" round. The distance separating the two glass balls is approx. 4.25" in length. The round brass base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 7.25" in diameter.
Condition: Overall, the lamp is in very good condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. We have not attempted to clean and/or polish the lamp in any manner - it is being presented for sale in the exact condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and is in good shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. It displays well, and is ready for a new home! As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is", so if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final.
