Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an original vintage Carter Brothers scoop lounge chair. Circa '50s / '60s. Materials: Molded plywood and vinyl cushion seats. No tags present - they're long gone. This particular chair is less commonly found - most of the time the single cushion seats are what pop up for sale. It'll make a nice addition to any modern interior sitting.
Measurements: Approx. 30.5" tall x 23.5" wide x 19.5" seat depth.
Condition: Overall good vintage condition - has some minor cosmetic stuff which we will mention now. The chair has a few small chips to the wood on the underside of the chair at the front edge. These are not seen unless you turn the chair upside down. They can easily be filled in, or just left alone. When looking head-on at the chair in the photos, the left side of the seat cushion is partially sagging - this is from something resting on top of it in storage. It should work itself out with a little finessing of the material. The seat cushions aren't flat, but we'd recommend probably having them redone at some point in time - they appear to be original. There are no buttons loose or missing. The wood edging show a little bit of light wear / color loss. We have not attempted to clean or polish the chair in any manner - it is being presented for sale in exactly the same condition in which it was acquired. With a little elbow grease and TLC, it should come out looking really nice! Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
PLEASE NOTE: This listing is for local pick-up only - shipping is not $1. We do not object to shipping the chair, but due to its irregular shape, it'll end up being quite costly - just throwing it out there to avoid any surprises.
Thanks for looking!
