Vintage 60s Round Glass Orb Laurel Lamp Metal Base Mid Century Modern Lighting

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage Laurel Lamp Mfg. Co. table lamp. Circa '60s. Shade is an opaque glass, and base is a gold colored metal. There is an on/off rotary knob switch located on the metal base just below where the shade rests. The lamp still retains its original Laurel Lamp Mfg. Co. sticker label next to the light socket (see photo). The round glass shade still shows a small fragment of another "Made in Sweden" blue label on the surface (again, see photo). This lamp will look fantastic in any modern interior setting.

Measurements: With the round glass shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 12.25" tall x 8" wide x 8" deep. The round metal base at the very bottom measures approx. 7" in diameter.

Condition: Overall, the lamp is in good, all-original condition. The base does show a few small areas where there is color loss on the surface (see photos) - it doesn't particularly detract, but it is being mentioned here for accuracy. The metal base is free from dents, dings, chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The shade has some faint marks on it that should come up with a cleaning - we did not attempt to clean the shade in any manner prior to listing for sale. It also shows minimal light traces of wear at the opening where it rests on the metal base (see photos), but no cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in very good condition - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
