Vintage 1950s Black Metal UFO Saucer Wall Hanging Lamp Mid Century Modern Atomic Era

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage atomic era wall hanging UFO / saucer lamp. Circa '50s. Materials: Metal, Fiberglass, Wood. Color: Black. The black metal fixture has small round perforations which allow light to shine out. The fixture has a standard on/off rotary knob switch which is used to control the fixture. There is a round fiberglass reflector shade that is attached to the metal fixture with a wooden finial. We are uncertain as to the maker. It'll make a great addition to any modern interior setting!

Measurements: The lamp fixture itself is approx. 9" tall x 13" in diameter. The metal rod extension that connects to a wall is approx. 14" long, and there is approx. 13" of cord drop from the rod to the fixture itself. The wood finial that attaches the round fiberglass shade covering is approx. 1.5" long.

Condition: The fixture is in good vintage condition. The metal appears to have been repainted by a previous owner at one point in time. There are no dents, dings, scratches, repairs, etc. to the metal shade portion. The fiberglass attachment is free from chips, cracks, breaks, burns, scratches, etc. The cloth covering on the wires is original, and it shows fray marks here and there. The wires aren't exposed. All the fixture needs is a new bracket to attach it to a wall. The counter-weight is present (see photos). Aside from that, it is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the fixture prior to long-term use.
