Vintage 50s Black Wire Metal Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century Modern MCM Lighting

$225.00

Shipping to United States: $55.00

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic era table lamp with accompanying fiberglass shade. Circa '50s / '60s. The base is constructed of black metal wire, and the shade is fiberglass. The shade has a white criss-cross pattern running throughout the surface (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off switch which is located at the socket. We are uncertain as to the maker of this lamp - there are no labels or tags present. It'll make a welcome addition to any modern interior setting!

Measurements: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 28" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the shade). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 18.75" high. The shade measures approx. 12" tall x 13" in diameter (top) x 15" in diameter (bottom).

Condition: The lamp is in very good structural condition - the base is free from cracks, breaks, bends, repairs, rust, oxidation, tarnishing, etc. There is some scattered black paint loss on the metal wire which is common; it can easily be touched up or just left alone - it does not detract in our opinion. The shade is in great shape - no rips, holes, tears, creases, stains, burn marks, etc. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed, hard / brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having the lamps inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. They are being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. All sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
