Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage atomic era table lamp. Circa '50s / '60s. We are uncertain as to the maker. Materials: Wood, Ceramic. The three-sided ceramic portion of the lamp is an off-white color, and it is textured in appearance. It rests atop three small round brass balls that separate it from the round wooden base at the very bottom. Just above the ceramic portion, there is a wooden top-like accent piece that separates it from the light socket. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob that is used to turn it on/off. There is no shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own.
Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 32.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 24.5" high. The ceramic component to the base measures approx. 14.5" tall x 5.5" wide (measured at the bottom) x 5.5" deep (again, measured at the bottom). The wooden top-like accent piece just above the ceramic component measures approx. 4" tall x 4.5" wide x 4.5" deep. The round wooden base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 7" in diameter.
Condition: All-in-all, the lamp is in very good condition. The ceramic is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The wood components shows signs of light wear that are consistent with age - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. It could use a gentle polishing, but does display nicely as it is. The wiring is in nice shape - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle wires. The plug tip has some sort of tape over it (see photo) - it doesn't seem to affect anything - we're not certain why it is even there - this is how we acquired the lamp. It can easily be replaced, if desired. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamp is being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. All sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
