Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage biomorphic plaster table lamp with accompanying fiberglass shade. Circa '50s. The lamp base is made of a plaster material, and is beige in color; it has a cerused appearance to it. The fiberglass shade is also a beige color. The lamp has an on/off toggle switch that is located at the socket. We are uncertain as to the maker of this lamp - there are no tags / labels present. It'll make a great addition to any mid century setting!
Measurements: From the bottom of the base to the top of the finial, the lamp stands approx. 29.5" tall. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 20" tall. The plaster biomorphic body of the lamp is approx. 16.25" tall x 7" in width. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 10.5" tall x 14.5" in diameter (top) x 19" in diameter (bottom).
Condition: The lamp is in very good condition for its age - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. to the base. The fiberglass shows gentle traces of light wear that are consistent with age and handling. There are no rips, holes, tears, stains, repairs, burn marks, etc. The lacing appears to be intact. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in great shape - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly urge to have the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
PLEASE NOTE: For safety sake, the lamp will need to ship in two separate parcels - one will contain the shade, while the other will contain the base.
