Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage female figural form sculpture. Circa '50s / '60s. It is done in the style of Weinberg, but we don't believe it is. Appears to be made of a plaster-type material - it has a nice solid weight to it. Unsigned.
Measurements: Including the rectangular base, it measures approx. 16" tall x 6.75" wide x 3" deep. The figure itself is 13" tall x 6" wide. It weights approx. 6.3 lbs.
Condition: Good condition, but not perfect. We believe the sculpture was repainted at one point in time, and it wasn't a very good job. It's a relatively easy cosmetic fix, or it can be left as it is as we did. There are several areas where it looks like the color was touched up (see photos). The rectangular base also shows some black coloration, so our guess is the sculpture was probably black to start with. On the back side of one of the legs, there is a shallow chip (again, see photos). Another easy cosmetic fix. Being that it is on the back side, we just left it alone - it's also just above the base on the edge of the leg, so it isn't readily detectable unless one is looking for it. Aside from that, the sculpture seems to move a bit on the base - it looks like it needs a dab of fresh adhesive to firmly secure it, but it doesn't move unless you aim to move it. All-in-all, it's a great piece that just needs some lovin'. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, please ask them prior to purchase and we will be more than happy to respond back to you in a timely manner.
Thanks for looking!
