Set Vintage 1950s Sculptural Tribal Aboriginal Dancers Wall Hangings Mid Century Modern MCM Art

Item: From our personal collection, for your consideration we are presenting for sale a fantastic set of vintage tribal dancer / African / aboriginal wall hangings. Circa '50s. The figures are constructed of either a chalkware or plaster material. There are silver corded accents around the necks of each figure, as well as down by the feet (see photos). Each figure is mounted onto a gold wire mesh screen in the background, which is in turn attached to a black painted wooden frame (again, see photos). They need hanging mechanisms attached to the back as there currently aren't any. They'll make a nice addition to any mid century modern setting! Note: The photographs were taken on a carpeted surface. Aside from the wire mesh backgrounds, the backs of the frames are open, which gives the figures a floating effect.

Measurements: Including the wooden frames, each measures approx. 24" tall x 16" wide. The wooden frame is approx. 1.5" wide all the way around. The figures each measure approx. 16" tall x 10" wide.

Condition: Very good condition. There are a few tiny spots of paint loss. They don't detract at all, and are solely being mentioned for accuracy (see photos). Aside from that, there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. to the figures. The frames show light wear that is consistent with age and handling. They are both solid, and display well. They could use a gentle cleaning as they've been stored away in my storage unit for nearly 20 years!
