Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a set of vintage acrylic table lamps. Circa '60s. Each lamp features two slightly staggered in height upright black rectangular boxes that are open on the top side - presumably for faux plants or something similar. The shades appear to be a white acrylic on the interior, and they are covered in a fiberglass material with black trim around the top and bottom openings (see photos). We are uncertain if this is the way the shades came, or if the fiberglass was added at a later time. Either way, they look nice and seem to have preserved the acrylic material nicely. The very bottom of the square bases is a white acrylic (again, see photos). Each lamp has a standard on/off push knob switch that is used to control the functionality of the lamps. We are not 100% certain of the maker - we were told they are most likely manufactured by DeSanlou, but they do have a Moss vibe to them as well.
Measurements: Each lamp stands approx. 31" tall (measured from the bottom of the square base to the top of the finial). The square base measures approx. 8.5" x 8.5". The shade measures approx. 12.75" tall x 7" in diameter. The brass finial measures approx. 2.75" tall. The two staggered black acrylic rectangular boxes on the base each measure approx. 7" tall x 3" wide x 3" deep.
Condition: Both lamps are in very good condition. The acrylic on both bases is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The shades have a few faint darkened spots on the fiberglass material (see photos) - nothing major, but being mentioned for accuracy. They do not appear to be burns as the acrylic framework of each shade is free from burns, etc. on the interior surfaces. There is a little yellowing / discoloration at the back seam on one of the shade (see photos). The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in great shape - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle areas. The lamps are in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly urge to have the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final.
