Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a beautiful vintage table lamp that was part of the ceramic collection produced by Gerald Thurston. Circa '50s / '60s. The lamp is a nice taupe and beige color (see photos). The round base at the bottom is brass. The lamp has its original pull chain, as well as its original finial (see photos). The lamp takes three (3) standard sized bulbs, and it has three-way functionality - one tug of the chain lights up one bulb. A second tug of the chain lights up the opposite two independent of the first, and a third tug lights up all three bulbs at once. The lamp does not appear to be signed or marked, but its definitely a Thurston design. No shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own.
Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 39" tall (measured from the bottom of the brass metal base to the top of the finial). The ceramic portion of the lamp measures approx. 18.5" tall x 5.25" wide (at its widest point) x 5.25" deep. The distance from the bottom of the round base to the light sockets is approx. 26" high. The round metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 7.5" in diameter. The finial at the top measures 2" tall.
Condition: Very good, all-original vintage condition. There are some stray marks on the beige area towards the bottom of the lamp just above the metal base (see photos). We have not made any attempt to try to clean them off, so we are uncertain if they will come clean. It is being presented for sale as it was acquired. Aside from that, there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The brass components are free from dents, dings, rust, oxidation, etc. All-in-all, it displays nicely and functions properly. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect the item prior to long-term use, just to be safe. It is being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. All sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
