Vintage 60s Black Ceramic Space Age Lamp + Shade Mid Century Lighting Modern MCM

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a flippin' cool vintage space age ceramic lamp with accompanying shade. Circa '60s. The bulbous ceramic base is black in color, and it has randomly spaced holes of varying sizes which allow light to be emitted from the inside. The lamp has a standard rotary knob switch, and it allows for three-way functionality: one twist allows the main socket to light up, a second twist allows just the interior smaller light to light up, and a third twist allows everything to light up at the same time. There is an original UL sticker label attached to the outer casing of the light socket. The lamp has a period cloth shade with gold trim around the upper and lower perimeter openings. We are uncertain as to the maker of the lamp - there are no other labels or tags present. It's great for any modern interior setting!

Measurements: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 33" tall (measured from the resting surface to the top of the shade). The distance from the resting surface to the light socket is approx. 21.5" high, and to the top of the finial, 30" high. The ceramic portion of the base measures approx. 16" tall x 11" wide x 11" deep. The round base at the bottom of the lamp is approx. 6.5" in diameter. The cloth shade measures approx. 15.5" tall x 14" in diameter (top) x 15" in diameter (bottom).

Condition: The lamp is in very good condition for its age. The base shows very light traces of wear, but nothing objectionable - it is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. It could benefit from a gentle cleaning, but does display very well in its current state. The shade is free from rips, holes, tears, punctures, burn marks, stains, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original to the lamp, and is in very good condition - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas to the wiring. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. We always recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the lamp prior to long-term use, just to be safe. PLEASE NOTE: This is a large lamp and shade. It will require two separate parcels for a safe delivery - one will contain the base, and the other will contain the shade.
