Vintage 50s 60s Wood Brass Table Lamp Mid Century Modern Lighting MCM Atomic Era

Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage table lamp. Circa '50s / '60s. Materials: Wood, Brass. The lamp has a standard on/off toggle switch located at the socket. Uncertain as to the maker - no tags or labels present. No shade - buyer will have to provide their own.

Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 25.25" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the harp). The round wooden base is approx. 8" in diameter. The round metal base measures approx. 7.25" in diameter.

Condition: Overall the lamp is in good condition. It does have some cosmetic stuff, which we'll mention now. First off, someone...somewhere... at some point in time, thought it would be a good idea to repaint the lamp white. Not sure what they were thinking, but alas - that's what was done. If we were to keep the lamp, we'd strip the white paint and either leave it a natural wood color, or go with black (as we've seen these lamps in the past). The electrical wiring is original to the lamp, and is in decent shape - it's a bit stiff, but not frays, splits or exposed wires. It is in the fully-functioning working order. As with all vintage lighting, we strongly recommend having it checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Lastly, it needs a new finial for the harp, which we'll provide. All-in-all, it's a great lamp that just needs a little cosmetic stuff done - it's structurally solid.
