Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage atomic-era floor lamp. Circa '50s. Materials: Brass, Metal. The shade is a gold brass color, and it is pierced with small, evenly spaced holes on the surface which allows light to illuminate outward from within the shade (see photos). Just beneath the shade is a squiggly black wire accent which resembles flower petals to us. The lamp has an on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the level of the light socket. The lamp operates with a bulb adapter (not included) to accommodate for a regular, normal sized bulb - any reputable hardware store should carry one. The round base at the very bottom of the lamp is metal. It's a fantastic floor lamp that'll look great in any modern interior setting.
Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 63.5" tall. The shade measures approx. 9.5" tall x 9.5" in diameter (measured across the top opening). The round metal base at the bottom of the lamp is approx. 10.5" in diameter.
Condition: The lamp is in good vintage condition. There are some superficial surface scratch marks on the shade - we have not attempted to buff or polish the shade as they didn't particularly bother us, and they can always be turned from view. The round metal base at the bottom of the lamp shows some signs of tarnishing, discoloration, and a small dimple or two. A simple repaint will make this stuff go away. Again, it didn't bother us, so we just left it alone. Aside from that, there are no breaks, bends, repairs, burns, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be in good shape - no frays, splits or exposed wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. It is being sold "as-is" and "as-described". If you have questions, please ask them prior to purchasing and we will happily respond back to you.
Thanks for looking.
