Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare set of vintage wall hanging plaques. Circa '50s. Theme: Tribal Drummers / Percussion. We believe these are constructed from plaster - they appear to be solid and have a nice weight to them. They aren't as lightweight as chalkware pieces. The plaques are designed to be dimensional in appearance - the figures, as well as the square accents on each plaque, are slightly raised. They appear to be unmarked / unsigned. In all of our years collecting, we've never come across this set until now. They'll make a fantastic addition to any mid century modern home!
Measurements: Each plaque measures approx. 11.75" wide x 9.75" tall.
Condition: The front sides of both plaques are in great condition - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The back side of one plaque has a shallow chip, but it does not translate to the front whatsoever. The back side of the other plaque has a surface crack the stretches from top to bottom, but again - this does not translate to the front side whatsoever. Neither appears to be affecting the structural integrity of either plaque, and they obviously won't be seen since they are on the back side. They display really well, and are ready to be enjoyed in a new home. Being sold "as-is", so if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final.
Thanks for looking!
