Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool space age stacked chrome ball table lamp. Circa '70s. We were informed it is a Kovacs lamp, but there are no visible lamps present. The lamp also comes with a chrome metal dome-shaped shade. We are uncertain if it is original to the lamp or not, but they do compliment each other very well. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. No tags or labels present. It'll make a lovely addition to any modern or space age themed setting.
Measurements: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 30" tall. The stacked chrome balls measure approx. 6" round. The dome shade measures approx. 9" tall x 17" in diameter. The lamp is nice and solid, weighing in at approx. 11.13 lbs.
Condition: The lamp is in good condition and works, but does have some minor cosmetic stuff which we'll mention here. First off, the chrome could stand to be cleaned / polished. It is a little on the dull side throughout. We have not attempted to clean or polish it - we are selling it in the condition in which it was acquired. Aside from that, the base is free from dents, dings, rust, oxidation, repairs, etc. Moving over to the shade, it does have some scratches and a few dents - we have done nothing with it, but feel fairly confident that the dents can be worked out (see photos). Also, the interior of the shade has a coating of white paint on it, of which there is some peeling and wear (again, see photos). The electrical wiring looks to be original, and it is in nice shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly urge having the lamp inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. It is being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. All sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
