Vintage 50s 60s Glass Brass Ceiling Fixture Thurston Lightolier Mid Century MCM Modern

$395.00

Shipping to United States: $28.00

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage ceiling fixture from the atomic era. Circa '50s / '60s. Research leads us to believe this ceiling light fixture was designed by Gerald Thurston for Lightolier. The fixture is constructed of a pierced brass cone which has a slightly projected lip on it towards the bottom. It is designed that way for the glass shade to rest on it and it keeps it from falling off. The round glass shade is textured on one side (see photos). No tags or labels present.

MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 9.5" tall x 12" in diameter. The opening of the brass cone is approx. 4" in diameter.

CONDITION: Excellent condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, rust, etc. - could just use a light cleaning. There is a small amount of gold color wear on the cone, but nothing that we'd consider objectionable. The fixture is in 100% working order - it just needs to be hard-wired into place. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly encourage having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Displays really well. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
