ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a unique vintage lamp / planter combo manufactured by Miramar of California. Circa '50s. The lamp portion features a conical green fiberglass shade with silver filaments on the surface (see photos). It is attached to a flexible gooseneck stalk which can be adjusted to set the shade in different height positions. The on/off rotary knob switch is located on the back side of the shade (see photos). At that bottom section there is a green ceramic planter insert that is held in place by a decorative brass metal base. It looks to have an asian-inspired theme. The ceramic planter insert is marked on the bottom, and dated (see photo). It'll make a nice addition to any interior setting!
MEASUREMENTS: With the shade stalk fully extended in a vertical orientation and the shade pointed outward, the lamp stands approx. 22.5" tall. The gooseneck stalk measures approx. 15" long. The conical fiberglass shade measures approx. 8" long x 5" in diameter (at the opening). The ceramic planter insert measures approx. 10" wide x 5" deep x 3" tall.
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. The only minor cosmetic flaws that we can note are a series of very small shallow nicks along the rim of the planter insert - probably from removal and re-inserting into the base. They are hard to notice as a previous owner was careful to touch them up (see photos). Again, they are really small and negligible, but we are pointing them out for accuracy. The fiberglass cone shade is in great condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, burns, repairs, etc. The coloration on it is really nice! The brass stand at that bottom of the lamp is in nice shape - no dents, dings, repairs, etc. - just normal light wear that is commensurate with age and use. The gooseneck stalk is in great shape as well - it is taut and holds its position. The electrical wiring is in very good shape, and it looks to be original to the lamp - there are no frays, splits, exposed, brittle or hardened areas. The lamp is in 100% working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly encourage having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. Displays really well. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
