Vintage 50s Atomic Boomerang Floor Lamp Fiberglass Shades Mid Century Modern MCM

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage boomerang floor lamp with its original accompanying angular fiberglass shades. Circa '50s. Uncertain of the maker - no tags or labels present. The base is constructed of tubular brass and metal. The shades are a beige fiberglass with random gold paint squiggles throughout. The shades are specific to the lamp, and are designed to conform to the shape of the brass tubing of the base. The on/off rotary knob switch is located mid-way up the vertical column, and it allows for three-way functionality: one or the other can light up independently, or both can be set to light up at the same time. It's a fantastic lamp that that is suitable for any interior setting.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 72" tall x 24" wide. The distance from the bottom of the base to the lower light socket is approx. 49" high, and to the upper socket, 60" high. The metal base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 9.5" wide x 9.5" deep x 1" tall. The larger of the two shades measures approx. 19.5" wide x 9" deep x 8" tall, and the smaller shade measures approx. 12" wide x 7" deep x 6.25" tall.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition - no, bends, rust, oxidation, pitting, etc. There are some spots of light tarnishing / color loss, but nothing that we'd deem distracting. The shades are in fantastic shape - no rips, holes, tears, stains, burn marks, punctures, repairs, etc. - they are very clean. The wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it's in great shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect before long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". PLEASE NOTE: This lamp is LARGE, hence the shipping rate. In order to ship it safely and securely, the base will be partially disassembled mid-way up the column. It will require to parcels - one will contain the shades, while the other will contain the base.
