ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage stylized abstract figural encaustic painting on a cardboard material by artist, Arthur Voelkel. Circa '50s. Colors: Pink, Blue. The artwork is initial "AV" in the lower right-hand corner, and there is also a label on the reverse side which bears his name (see photos). Currently unframed. While not done by Weinberg, if you are familiar with his work, it does give off some similar vibes. It's a super cool piece that is suitable for any interior setting!
MEASUREMENTS: Approx. 11" tall x 7.5" wide.
CONDITION: Decent vintage condition, but not perfect. The upper and lower right-hand corners each have a small piece of missing cardboard (see photos). If framed and matted properly, this will not be visible (see our cropped photos which show how it can look once framed). Also, on the same right side, there is an old tear in the cardboard that was reinforced with adhesive tape on the reverse side (again, please see photos). It isn't too terribly noticeable, but it is there. When hanging on a wall and viewed from a slight distance, this isn't really seen. Aside from that, it just shows light traces of wear that are consistent with age and handling. Being sold "as-is" and "as-described" - if you have questions / concerns, please ask them prior to purchasing, and we will be sure to respond back to you in a timely manner. Thanks for looking!
