Vintage 50s TYE of CALIFORNIA Ceramic Pottery Lamp Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting

$295.00

Shipping to United States: $30.00

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a fantastic vintage ceramic pottery lamp that was manufactured by Tye of California. Circa '50s. Materials: Ceramic / Pottery. Colors: Brown / Orange / Tan / Beige. The lamp is signed and dated (1956) on the back side of the base towards the bottom where the electrical wiring exits the base (see photo). There is no shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own. It's a great lamp, and definitely characteristic of the period in design.

MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 26.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the final) x 5" in diameter (measured across the bottom of the base). The ceramic portion of the lamp alone measures approx. 16.75" tall. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 19.75" high.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition. There is one small 1/2" superficial scratch mark on the surface towards the back of the lamp (see photo). It faces the back, so it isn't readily noticeable. It can be touched up quite easily, but we left it in the condition acquired. Aside from that, the lamp is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. It can definitely benefit from a light cleaning which we'll leave up to the purchaser to handle. The wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it's in great shape - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend having a licensed professional inspect before long-term use. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described". Please ask any questions that you may have prior to purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner.
