Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage sculptural nickel plated table lamp that was designed by Weiss and Barr for Laurel Lighting Company. Circa '60s. The base resembles a brush stroke, and is constructed of metal. There is an original Laurel Lighting Co. blue label affixed to the light socket (see photo). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch at the socket for functioning the lamp. There is no shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide on their own.
Measurements: The lamp stands approx. 31" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket). The black base measures approx. 5" wide x 5" deep x 5.75" tall. The silver metal portion of the base measures approx. 18.5" tall x 6" wide x 4.5" deep.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The silver portion of the base shows general light signs of wear that are commensurate with age and handling. There aren't any chips, cracks, breaks, dents, etc. We have not attempted to clean or polish the lamp in any way - it is being presented for sale in the condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring looks good - free from frays, splits, exposed / brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, the lamp should be inspected by a licensed electrician prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
