Vintage 1950s Abstract Figural Wood Brass Lamp Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage abstract / figural table lamp with its original accompanying oval-shaped chenille cloth shade. Circa '50s. The lamp features a beige colored figure in a dancing pose. The figure is surrounded by a banded brass ring, and it is attached to the ring in three spots. The base at the very bottom of the lamp is constructed of wood, as is the dancing figure. The lamp has two (2) light sockets, each having it's own individual pull chain for functionality. The lamp does not appear to be branded - there are no visible labels or tags present. It's a great lamp that'll look fantastic in any setting.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 31" tall x 22.75" wide x 9" deep. The shade measures 22.75" wide x 12" tall x 9" deep. The distance from the bottom of the base to the light sockets is approx. 25" high. The brass tubing around the dancing figure is approx. 16.75" in diameter. The figure itself measures approx. 12.25" tall x 16" wide. The wood base at the very bottom of the lamp measures approx. 18.25" wide x 7" deep.

CONDITION: The lamp is in good condition, but not perfect. There are some notable cosmetic stuff which we'll mention here. First off, the figure appears to have had a few repairs. At first we thought they were just joints where the wood was joined together (see photos). They aren't terribly noticeable, especially if the lamp is being viewed at a distance, but keep in mind, they are there. If the figure were removed, sanded down and then repainted, it will probably conceal these mends a bit better. They didn't bother us, hence why we just left them alone. Next, the chenille shade has some rips / tears in the material. For the most part, it is in good shape. The frame of the shade was structurally solid, so if one was to recover it, it could look like new again. Lastly, the electrical wiring has some black electrical tape over it. While the lamp is still operable, we'd recommend rewiring it for safety, just to err on the side of caution. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition.
