Vintage MCM Beige Fiberglass Saucer Pendant Light Lamp Mid Century Modern Atomic Era 50s

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a great vintage hanging UFO / Saucer fiberglass hanging pendant light fixture. Circa '50s. The fiberglass is beige in color, and it constructs both the top and bottom halves of the fixture. There is an on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the underside center of the bottom panel. The fixture has three sockets, and operates with standard light bulbs. We are uncertain as to the maker. It's a fantastic fixture that'll add some pizzazz to any modern or atomic-themed setting!

MEASUREMENTS: The fixture measures approx. 22" in diameter x 6" high (which doesn't include the brass metal egg cup that holds the retractable electrical wiring). The brass cup measures approx. 5" in length.

CONDITION: Good vintage condition, but does have some minor cosmetic stuff which we'll mention here. First off, the bottom fiberglass panel has some small scattered discoloration marks which only appear on the outside of the panel (see photos). We have not attempt to clean them in any way, so we are uncertain as to whether or not they'll come clean. There is most likely a fiberglass cleaner / solvent out there that should do the job. Next, the retractable mechanism seems to be stuck. We took the top of the brass egg that contains the cord and can't really figure it out. The cord is clean and unfrayed which is uncommon for these fixtures - usually they're in pretty poor condition. With a little tinkering, it should be able to be fixed. We would like to not that this does not affect that operability of the fixture - it does turn on and works. We did not have a chance to photograph the fixture working before it was removed, but it does work 100% - it just needs to be hard-wired into position. Lastly, the white opaque plastic disc at the center underside center of the fixture has a stable crack mark in the material - it is not an actual breaks, just a crack mark. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly encourage having the items inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
