Item: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a great pair of sculptural vintage tribal / figural wall hangings. Circa '60s. Materials: Monkey Pod Wood. The figures both appear to be in a hunting motion, with spears and shields in hand. They are framed against a grasscloth background, and contained within a vintage monkey pod wood frames. Uncertain as to the maker as they don't appear to be signed. The wood frame is stamped "Monkey Pod" along the edge (see photos). They will make an excellent addition to any interior setting!
Measurements: Each measures approx. 12.5" wide x 24.5" tall.
Condition: Both are in very good condition. The figures are free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. The frames are also in great shape. They could use some stain to freshen them up a bit, but do display well as they are. They are structurally solid with no real issues to report. They display only minor wear consistent with and handling - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is a wire hanging mechanism on the back side of each for hanging / display purposes.
