Pair Vintage 50s REMBRANDT Atomic Era Lamps Mid Century MCM Modern Fiberglass Shades

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a set of vintage REMBRANDT table lamps with their original accompanying fiberglass shades. Circa '50s. The bases are constructed of black wire that connect a large disc just under the socket to the metal base at the bottom. Both the disc and bullet shaped base at the bottom are black in color with random white paint squiggles throughout. Both lamps have a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket. Also, both lamps still retain their original Rembrandt Lamps labels along the top each of the brass cups that surround the light sockets. The fiberglass shades are a grayish color with randomly scattered black and white filaments throughout. Each shade rests atop a milk glass diffuser that sits inside of the brass cups which surround the sockets. They're an excellent set of lamps that'll look great in any modern interior space!

MEASUREMENTS: With the shades attached, each lamp stands approx. 28" tall x 17" wide x 17" deep. The fiberglass shades alone each approx. 8" tall x 17" in diameter. The base measures approx. 22" tall (measured from the resting surface to the light socket). The bottom of the base measures approx. 5" in diameter. The base alone measures approx. 17.5" tall (measured from the very bottom to the round disc just below the light socket.

CONDITION: Both lamps bases appear to be in very good cosmetic condition - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The shades are in very good condition as well. Both shades look like they have areas that were most likely re-laced at one point in time - doesn't affect anything, and is solely being mentioned for accuracy. One of the lamps is, however, is missing the small section of lacing that goes up the seam on the back side (see photo). Again, it does not affect anything and can simply be re-laced as the holes are all intact. A few of the small screws that hold the milk glass diffusers in place are missing - a cheap and inexpensive fix that we'll leave up to the purchaser to handle. The electrical wiring looks to be original on both lamps, and it is in good condition - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamps are in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
