Vintage 50s Ceramic Metal Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting

$495.00

Shipping to United States: $70.00

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a super cool vintage table lamp complete with its original matching fiberglass shade. Circa '50s. Color: Teal / Black. The base consists of a ceramic cylinder that rests inside a metal wire structure at the bottom of the lamp (see photos). The base is a teal / blue color with random abstract designs painted on the surface. The same designs appear on the shade (see photos). There is an original blue underwriters label affixed to the lamp base (again, see photos). The lamp has an on/off toggle switch at the socket. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no other labels or signatures present. It'll make a great addition to any mid century modern setting!

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 28" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 17" in diameter (top) x 18" in diameter (bottom) x 9.75" tall.. The base measures approx. 20" tall (measured from the resting surface to the light socket). The bottom of the base measures approx. 6.5" in diameter. The teal cylindrical portion of the base measures approx. 13" tall x 4.5" in diameter.

CONDITION: Very good, all original condition. The ceramic portion of the base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. It could benefit from a gentle cleaning, but does display well just as it is. The fiberglass shade is free from rips, holes, tears, burn marks, repairs, etc. The lacing appears to be intact, and looks to be original to the lamp. Similar to the base, the fiberglass material could use a gentle cleaning. There are some faint discoloration marks scattered throughout that should come clean. We didn't attempt to clean it as we felt it displays well in its current state. The electrical wiring looks to be original on both lamps, and it is in good condition - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamps are in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamps are being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. All sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
