Vintage 50s Mosaic Boomerang Lamp Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a groovy vintage table lamp complete with its original accompanying drum-shaped cloth shade. Circa '50s. The base is constructed of a plaster-like material (it is heavier than chalkware). It rests atop a round wooden base. On the surface of the lamp are boomerang shapes that are done in a faux mosaic style (see photos). The shapes, as well as the beige background, have nice texture throughout (again, please see photos). Colors: Beige / Brown / Orange. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch for functionality. The lamp does not appear to be signed, and there are no tags present. It'll make a great addition to any mcm setting.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 38.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the shade) x 15" wide (bottom diameter of shade). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 25.5" high. The plaster base measures approx. 19" tall x 7" wide x 7 " deep. The wooden base at the very bottom of the lamp has a diameter of approx. 6". The cloth drum shade measures approx. 17.25" tall x 14" in diameter (top opening) x 15" in diameter (bottom opening).

CONDITION: Very good condition. The lamp is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. There is some very minimal traces of paint wear, but nothing that we'd deem objectionable in our opinion. The shade is in great shape as well - there are no rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. There are a few very faint discoloration marks - they are small and difficult to locate - unless you are specifically looking for them, they aren't particularly noticeable. The electrical wiring is in good condition and looks to be original to the lamp - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
