Vintage Pottery Lamp Fiberglass Shade Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting 50s Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a wonderful vintage ceramic pottery table lamp with its accompanying double-tiered fiberglass shade. Circa '50s. Theme: Abstract Leaves. Colors: Gray / Red / Green / Brown against an off-white background. The double tiered fiberglass shade is a solid beige color with no pattern running through it. The pottery portion of the lamp rests cradled inside an iron base with four attached legs (see photos), thus giving it an atomic era vibe. The lamp has a standard on / off rotary knob switch located at the socket for functionality. While we cannot clearly make out the signature, the base is signed (again, please see the attached photos). The lamp will make an excellent addition to any modern interior setting.

MEASUREMENTS: With the shade attached, the lamp stands approx. 29.75" tall (measured from the resting surface to the finial). The distance from the bottom of the base to the light socket is approx. 21.75" high. The pottery portion of the base (excluding the metal cradle that the pottery rests inside) measures approx. 13.5" tall x 7" wide x 7" deep. There is approx. 6.5" between each of the four metal legs at the very bottom of the lamp. The fiberglass shade measures approx. 9" tall, with the diameter of the smaller opening at the top tier being 12", and the diameter at the bottom tier being 17.5".

CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good condition for its age - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. to the pottery portion of the lamp. It could benefit from a gentle cleaning, but it does display just fine as it is in its current state, which is how we left it after acquiring it. The fiberglass shade has a few very small blemish spots on it. Again, we didn't attempt to clean it, so they may or may not come out, but we think they will. Aside from that, the shade is free from rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. The lacing looks to be original, and is intact. The metal legs and cradle that the pottery sits in appears to be in nice shape as well - no breaks, bends, etc. Maybe a little color loss, but that's about it. The electrical wiring is in good condition and looks to be original to the lamp - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use.
