ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a beautiful vintage hanging light fixture. Circa '60s. The fixture is constructed of twelve (12) same-sized wooden accent pieces that meet at the center to give the fixture a diamond-shaped appearance. Inside is a round white glass globe that conceals the light socket. The fixture opens by unscrewing a small metal rod at that bottom, which allows the fixture to open like a cage; this is how one would go about changing the light bulb when its time. There is a round brass hanging loop at the top of the fixture (see photos). We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no signatures or labels present that we see, but it has very danish vibe to it. It's a great fixture that's suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: The fixture measures approx. 28" tall (measured from the very bottom of the brass accent piece at the underside of the fixture to the top of the metal hanging loop over the fixture) x 18.5" wide x 18.5" deep. The round white glass shade on the inside of the fixture is approx. 9" in diameter.
CONDITION: Aside from possibly benefiting from a gentle cleaning, the fixture is in great shape. The wood components are free from chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. There are a few light superficial surface blemishes to the wood, but nothing to write home about. The glass globe could use a cleaning, but is otherwise free from damage - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. Currently functions by plugging it into a socket, but it can be easily converted to hardwire. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always recommend using caution and having the wiring checked by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
