Vintage 1950s Dual Fiberglass Shade Floor Lamp Mid Century MCM Modern Lighting Atomic Era

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a wonderful vintage atomic era floor lamp with accompanying dual fiberglass lamp shades. Circa '50s. The fiberglass shades are different shapes - one is more round, while the other is more conical in shape. They are both beige in color, and each has the same painted on gold graphics randomly placed over the surfaces. Each of the two light sockets has its own rotary knob switch which is used to turn the lamp on and off. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present.

MEASUREMENTS: With the fiberglass shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 60.75" tall x 26.5" wide. The distance from the ground to the top of the larger shade is approx. 57" high, while it is 51.5" high to the top of the smaller shade. The larger of the two shades is approx. 17" in diameter (top) x 18" in diameter (bottom) x 9.5" tall, and the smaller of the two shades is approx. 7" in diameter (top) x 8" in diameter (bottom) x 11" tall. The square metal base at the very bottom of the lamp is approx. 9.5" x 9.5". The black metal ring accent piece just below the shades is approx. 6" in diameter.

CONDITION: Given its age, we'd say the lamp is in good vintage condition. The metal base is free from breaks, repairs, etc. The square base at the bottom of the lamp does show tarnishing. We have not attempted to clean or polish the lamp in any way, so it may come out looking better with a little TLC. The shades are in great shape - there are no rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. They have some light surface marks which should come out with a cleaning - they aren't bad, but they are being mentioned for accuracy. The graphics on the smaller of the two shades are a little fainter in appearance than on the larger shade (see photos). The electrical wiring may have been updated at one point in time by a previous owner - it is in good shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully functioning, working order. This lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. PLEASE NOTE: Due to its very large size, this item will ship in two separate parcels. The lamp base will be partially disassembled and will ship in one box, while the shades will ship separately in a second box. Both will be fully insured for the final sale value.
