ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a unique vintage atomic era table lamp from the 1950s. The base is constructed of three black colored metal cylinderical rods which intersect each other just above the round metal base. The clydrical rods have slightly different lengths. Attached at the opposite end of each are the light sockets and three slightly different sized fiberglass shades. The shades are red in color, with a black diagonal criss cross pattern on each (they are original to the lamp). The sockets each function with their own individual toggle switches. You can pick with ones you want to light individually, or all can be lit together as seen in the photos. We are uncertain as to who designed the lamp as there are no visible labels or otherwise present.
MEASUREMENTS: With the shades attached, the lamp stands approx. 17.25" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the tallest shade) x 21" wide x 12" deep. The heights of the other two shades are slightly staggered by design - the middle being 13.5" high, and the lowest being 12" high. The three shades are also slightly different sizes in diameter - the largest being 8" in diameter, the middle being 7", and the smallest being 5". All three shades are the same height - 5" tall. The round black metal base at the bottom of the lamp is 5.75" in diameter.
CONDITION: Very good, all-original condition. The base is free from dents, dings, repairs, rust, oxidation, scratches, etc. The fiberglass shades are also in great shape - no rips, holes, tears, stains, burn marks, repairs, etc. The colors are nice on each of them. The lacing appears to be intact on all of the shades. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in great condition - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always highly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamp is being sold "as-is", and "as described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
