ITEM: Wow! - Do these scream '50s or what? For your consideration we are presenting for sale a cool pair of vintage atomic era ceramic table lamps. Circa '50s. The exterior surface of both lamps is gray, and along the front side on both there is a freeform cut-out which reveals a pink interior, along with the vertical brass rod exposed at the center leading up to the light socket. Each lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch which is used in controlling the function of the lamps. The lamps do not come with shades - just the bases. It'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own shades. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no tags or labels visibly present.
MEASUREMENTS: Each lamp stands approx. 21.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket) x 5.75" wide x 5.75" deep. The round brass base at the bottom of each lamp measures approx. 5" in diameter. (PLEASE NOTE: The harps are included with the lamps, but while similar in design, they are slightly different sizes from each other. Due to the size difference, we didn't include them in the aforementioned measurements).
CONDITION: Both lamps are in good condition, although one does have a condition issue which we'll mention now. There is a tight crack running through the ceramic on one of the lamps just above the brass base - it looks like a previous owner may have accidentally bumped it into something). It is stable, and most likely repairable, but it is there. The only other thing worth mentioning is there is some slight discoloration / oxidation in spots on the brass bases (see photos) - nothing major, but we've made note of it. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in good condition on both lamps - there are no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. As with all vintage lighting, we always highly recommend having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamps are being sold "as-is", and "as described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
