ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a nice vintage lamp that was manufactured by the Moss Manufacturing Co. Circa '50s. The lamp features to ceramic figural dancers that are in motion in front of a textured gold backdrop (see photos). The lamp is body is constructed of acrlylic / lucite. The lamp has two light features - there's the main light which is controlled by a rotary knob switch, and then there is a smaller light at the base which is controlled by a push button located at the back side of the lamp towards the base (see photos). There is no shade present - it'll be left up to the purchaser to provide their own. It's a really nice lamp that'll look great in any interior setting.
MEAUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 28.5" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the finial), and approx. 21" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the light socket). The white base at the bottom of the lamp measures approx. 12" wide x 8" deep. The white rectangular panel below the light socket is approx. 17" high x 10" wide x 5" deep. The dancing figures measure approx. 13" tall x 6.5" wide x 6" deep.
CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good, all-original condition. The lucite / acrylic is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. It could use a cleaning as there are some areas that are a little dirty (see photos), but nothing alarming at all. The figures have some minor paint loss in spots, but again, nothing too bad (see photos). They are free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The textured gold back panel is slightly loose and could benefit from a little adhesive where it attaches to the white base beneath it. We chose to leave the lamp in the condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be in great shape - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas to the wiring. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly encourage having a licensed professional inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. This item is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions that we did not already cover, please contact us directly and we'll be more than happy to get back to you. Thanks for looking, and please check out our other active listings presently on Etsy.
PLEASE NOTE: The figures will be carefully removed from the lamp and packaged separately to prevent them from damage during transit.
