ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an original vintage Eames rocker for Herman Miller. Dates back to 1960. The fabric is a seafoam green / teal color, while the fiberglass is an off/white beige color. The chair still retains its original wooden rocker legs. The medallion is still affixed to the underside of the chair on the fiberglass, and it is stamped with the date (see photos). Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, please ask them prior to purchase and we will respond back to you.
MEASUREMENTS: The chair stands approx. 26" tall (measured from the ground to the top of the backrest) x 25" wide (measured from the edge of one arm across to the edge of the other). The seat height is approx. 17" high (measured from the ground) x 18" deep.
CONDITION: Good vintage condition. While original to the chair and not ripped, the upholstery is a big warn looking - there is some fading in areas, and darkening in others (see photos) - we have not attempted to clean it in any manner, so we're uncertain as to whether or not it will come out looking better if one were to invest the time in it. The fiberglass itself is in nice shape - could benefit from a cleaning - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The chair feels hard when one sits in it; however, there is no foam disintegration that we can detect - it is not crunchy or anything like that. The rocker legs are original, as is the hardware. Aside from perhaps a little cleaning, they're in great shape - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The metal base is in nice shape as well - no dents, dings, repairs, etc. The shock mounts are in nice shape as well with no problems to report - just typical age-related wear. The chair is being sold "as-is", and "as described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
PLEASE NOTE: The rocker base will be separated from the fiberglass shell for safe shipping.
