ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a rare vintage chalkware table lamp manufactured by the Fortune Lamp Co. Circa '50s. Theme: Harlequin. Colors: Multi-color. On the front side of the lamp is the image of a harlequin, while on the remaining three sides it is a textured surface in blue. The lamp is signed and dated on the back side where the electrical cord emerges from the base (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located at the socket for functionality. There is no shade present - that'll be left up to the purchaser to provide one on their own.
MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 26" tall (measured from the bottom of the base to the top of the light socket. The chalkware portion of the base measures approx. 21" tall x 8" wide x 8" deep.
CONDITION: Overall the lamp is in very good condition. There are some areas on the base where the paint has flecked off over time. These areas, as seen in the photos, are not actual chips to the chalkware - just missing paint which can easily be touched up. When one runs a finger over these areas, they are relatively smooth. The base is free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, missing pieces, etc. It could benefit from a gentle cleaning, but we chose to leave it in the condition in which it was acquired. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in great shape - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle areas. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly urge to have the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
