PAIR Vintage MCM Majestic Diamond-Shaped Lamps 50s Mid Century Modern Lighting

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale "as-is" a rare set of vintage Majestic table lamps. Circa '50s. Including the fiberglass shades, the lamps take on a diamond-shaped appearance. The black lacquered wooden bases cradle the bottom of the shades (see photos). Each lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch that is located on the front surface of the base. One lamp has an exposed "Majestic" sticker label on the bottom of the base, while the other lamp still retains most of the original green felt on the bottom, so chances are the other sticker label is still attached to that lamp (see photos).

MEASUREMENTS: Each lamp stands approx. 18.25" tall x 10" wide x 5.25" deep.

CONDITION: Both lamps are in good condition, but there is obviously some cosmetic stuff that'll we'll mention. First off, the original lacing on the shades is ALL long-gone. It was brittle when we purchased them, and about 90% gone. The good news is the fiberglass panels are in good shape, and the holes (with the exception of one corner hole on one of the longer rectangular side panels) are all intact, so replacing the lacing should be a breeze. It's a small project for someone who has time and patience. The fiberglass material has some minor superficial crease marks that should come out with some steam, but are in otherwise nice shape - no rips, holes, tears, stains, burn marks, etc. The white wire shade frames are in decent shape and show only minimal traces of wear from age and handling - they could benefit from a gentle cleaning. The black lacquered bases show some minimal traces of color loss, but nothing objectionable in our opinion - they are free from chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring appears to be original, and is in great shape on both lamps - no frays, splits, exposed and/or brittle areas. The lamps are in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly urge to have the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use.
