ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a sleek atomic era gooseneck desk lamp. Circa '50s / '60s. Colors: White metal with a wooden accent piece above the shade (see photos). The shade is pierced in design, which allows light to shine out of the small holes in the material when the lamp is turned on. The lamp features a push button switch on the round base at the bottom of the lamp. We aren't 100% certain on the maker, but we have been told it could possibly be Lightolier - there are no labels or tags present.
MEASUREMENTS: With the gooseneck stalk extended into its full upright position, the lamp stands approx. 19" tall. The cone shade, together with the wooden accent piece at the top, measures approx. 13.5" long x 4" in diameter (measured across the opening). The round metal base measures approx. 5.25" in diameter.
CONDITION: The lamp is in decent condition for its age. It does show some signs of wear that are consistent with age and handling. The metal shade shows scattered superficial marks, and some color loss in spots (see photos). The wooden accent piece is in fine shape - no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, etc. The vertical brass rod just below the flexible gooseneck stalk shows signs of tarnishing. The round base at the bottom of the lamp shows some discoloration throughout (see photos). The gooseneck stalk works perfectly fine, and holds its position well. The electrical wiring looks to be original, and is free from having any issues - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle areas. We have not made any attempts to clean or polish the lamp in any manner - it's is being presented for sale in the condition in which it was acquired - what you see, is what you get. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. It is being sold "as-is", and "as-described" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please shop with confidence.
