Vintage 60s MCM Abstract Shapes Oil Painting Modern Wall Art Wall Hanging Deyoe

ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale an amazing abstract shapes oil painting done on stretched canvas by Illinois artist, John Deyoe. Circe '60s. Titled "#5". Colors: Multi-color. The painting if framed within a period thick border wooden frame. The canvas is signed in the lower right-hand corner (see photos). The date 3/30/64 appears written on the stretcher on the reverse side. This painting is very large and will become the focal point of any room - it's truly amazing!

MEASUREMENTS: Including the wooden frame, it measures approx. 69.5" tall x 35.25" wide. It's extra large in size!

CONDITION: Given its age, the painting has remained in good condition. There is some scattered craquelure in the paint throughout (see photos), but nothing substantial or loose - it doesn't affect anything. The canvas is free from rips, holes, tears, repairs, etc. The back side of the canvas looks like it has an old moisture mark, but nothing that has gone through to effect the artwork itself. The wood frame shows a slight warp (see photos), but it doesn't seem to interfere with the canvas or the artwork hanging flush against a wall. There is a wire hanging mechanism in place, so it's ready to be displayed and enjoyed in a new setting. Being sold "as-is", and "as-described".
