ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a vintage table lamp that dates back to the '70s. The lamp features an acrylic spaghetti ribbon globe at the bottom; the ribbons are orange over white. The globe has a separate small decorative bulb which attached on the underside of the base (see photos). The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch at the socket which allows for three-way functionality: one twist allows the decorative bulb inside the base to illuminate the acrylic portion of the lamp, and second twist lights the main socket, and a third allows both lights to illuminate simultaneously. We are uncertain as to the maker - there are no labels or tags present. The lamp does not come with a shade - it will be left up to the purchaser to provide their own.
MEASUREMENTS: With the harp attached, the lamp stands a wonderful 32.25" tall. The distance from the bottom of the chrome metal base to the light socket is approx. 22" high. The wooden neck just beneath the socket measures approx. 9" long. The orange ribbon acrylic globe measures approx. 9" round. The round chrome metal base measures approx. 6" in diameter.
CONDITION: The lamp is in good vintage condition, but does have some minor cosmetic stuff that we'll mention. First and foremost, the chrome base and the chrome insert the rests between the wooden neck and the acrylic globe show signs of tarnishing in areas. The majority of it is on the top surface of the chrome base at the bottom of the lamp, which is mostly covered by the acrylic globe anyway, so it isn't readily evident and screaming out for attention. It can probably be buffed out if you take the base apart - it didn't bother us, so we just left it alone. Aside from that, the lamp could benefit from a cleaning, but does display well in its current state. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, repairs, melt spots, burn marks, etc. Everything works! The electrical wiring is in good condition and looks to be original to the lamp - no frays, splits, exposed or brittle wires. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working condition. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly recommend having a licensed electrician inspect the wiring prior to long-term use. The lamp is being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing, and we will respond back to you in a timely manner. All sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
