ITEM: For your consideration we are presenting for sale a very nice vintage atomic era / boomerang floor lamp. Circa '50s. The lamp features two black lacquered wooden boomerang accents just below a trump-shaped receptacle where the socket is. The lamp has a standard on/off rotary knob switch for functionality. We are uncertain as to the manufacturer, but it is in the style of Majestic and Guggenheim lamps that were produced during the period. It could be one of them, but we're not 100% certain. The underside of the base at the bottom of the lamp is also weighted. The lamp is suitable for all interior settings.
MEASUREMENTS: The lamp stands approx. 62.5" tall, with the base at the bottom measuring approx. 16" wide x 11" deep. The distance from the ground up to the light socket is approx. 58" high. The brass trump-shaped receptacle at the top of the lamp measures approx. 7" tall x 6" in diameter at the opening.
CONDITION: Very good condition. The base at the very bottom of the lamp appears to have been repainted at one point in time, but it looks fine. There are no chips, cracks, breaks, bends scratches, repairs, etc. The electrical wiring looks to be original to the lamp, and it is free from damage - there are no frays, splits or exposed areas on the wiring. The lamp is in fully-functioning, working order. As with all vintage lighting, we always strongly caution to have the wiring inspected by a licensed professional prior to long-term use. Being sold "as-is" - if you have questions, we do encourage you to ask them before purchasing as all sales are final. Please bid with confidence.
NOTE: The bulb that this lamp takes is not of a standard size. The neck the screws into the socket is slightly larger than a normal sized lightbulb. If you wish to use a standard sized bulb, you'll need to use a socket adapter; otherwise, you can find the bulbs that it takes without the adapter at any reputable lighting or hardware store.
